hmmm not sure if i can get a maroon smaller then mine; mine's already pretty small and kind of looks like a juvenile..... so Should I wait? or get a bigger maroon? if not I'll wait for it to grow. and a YWG sounds pretty cool so thanks. BTW how can I hold a poll? I wanna see what others prefer too:)

imo, get a small one now. The big maroon will fight and might kill the little one. If the tank is new, then they haven't claim their territory.

If you consider a dwarf, remember that all aren't that expensive. Some are $15, maybe even less if you strike a deal.

it's not new but I'm starting the cycle over and he's the only inhabitant now so I guess that would work ok.

Do you need to pair the pistol shrimp with a goby or is it fine on it's own? I got the pistol shrimp cuase I think it's fun watching it build up the sand only to knock it down and watch him go at it again.

Nah the shrimp is fine by itself. I wanna get a pair because the symbiotic relationship is pretty interesting to watch. thye live in the same burrow, protect each other, and help each other get food ;D
