Complete Cycle??

    Okay so I finished adding salt last thursday (6 days ago). I went to petco today and purchased a SW testing kit (Nitrates/ites, ph, alkilinity) and an ammonia test kit. Everything is measuring/reading ideal.

    Is this possible???

    p.s. I never added fish/fish food or other ammonia catalysts, i just let it run with my crushed coral and live rock...is it necessary to add raw fish/shrimp?

    so you basically said you didnt add anything to start the cycle... so no you need to add something to the tank other than salt. just throw a raw shrimp in there...

    If your LR didn't have alot of die off then it could have cycled in 6 days but I would throw in a raw shrimp to boost the cycle into an even larger one just to be on the safe side.
