    Must be smokin hot there. My friends tank hit 90 and his fish were ok.. maybe he just got lucky.. Sorry for your losses :(

    Simple air stones would help out saltwater in an aquarium looses Oxygen really fast after the temp hit the low 80's F and every degree about 84 f the Dissolved oxygen content drops off by larger % points really fast.. Its not so much the temps but the oxygen drop's out and bacteria will start to die off and then they deplete the oxygen even more and then more dies and the tank takes on that white hazy look . poof all gone Get a chiller..

    Hey...I was running a airstone in sump....trick I learned from you long ago. May have what saved my tank as it was running in the high 80's for quite a while.


    PS...I run an airstone in both sump of main and in back chamber of Nano. Like said before, it can't hurt and in some instances be a lifesaver.

    i wonder how hot it got.my tank hit 88 degrees f. for 3 days straight last summer with no problems.

    i too battle the aussie heat my tank averages 28deg C every day
    drives me crazy:-/

    well ive completely stripped the tank down and moved liverock to a mates tank with fish and hermits, the fish died a day later :angry: but the crabs are going great guns;D
