check around the garage over 8ft span, behind/between boxes, stand sump area...nothing. Checked the overflow again and lighting, still nothing. COuld a small trigger eat the bones to hide the evidence?

Honestly, i thought someone might have stolen, since it's in my garage, but highly improbable given it was in the middle of night. As far as aliens are concerned, let me check with the USAF and get back to you on that! :p

A trigger could've definitely contributed to the disappearance of any evidence.

You also mentioned that you have a bare bottom tank, what sort of flow do you have through the tank? The remnants could've found it's way to the bottom of the overflow box after the CUC and trigger had there way with it if you have a lot of water turnover.

:( The trigger most likely had it way with it.

I have around 900gph of flow through the 60 gallon tank. I checked my mechanical filter floss and didn't see any debris. I'm still amazed how a 4" Tusk can just disappear....here's a pic of the simple tank. Inhabitants are a Maroon clown, Blue Jaw Trigger, my juvee angel (added 2 days ago), and the tusk w/ the crabs.
