Hi I've always wanted a conch in my 29G Biocube (3 months old) but the pet stores near me never seemed to have them in stock. Yesterday I noticed my LPS down the road tiger conches and I really waned one.. I almost bought one but not sure if it would be overkill with my 5 nassarius snails already. My tank does have some cyano bacteria growing under the sand and I have read that they can help control that as well. Shoud I give some nassarius snails to the pet store and purchase the conch? or just buy it and keep the snails?.. I know it's kind of a dumb question but I wouldn't want to starve it. :)

I don't think you have too many nassarius snails, I keep 20 in my 75. I don't know how large it grows to or anything. If it is small it should be a problem. Nassarius eat meat BTW.

Thanks 2in10. I didn't realize they just eat the leftover meat and started reading up on them again. Awesome. I'll probably be getting a tiger conch soon. :D From what I have read they get up to about 2 inches in size (half the size of fighting conches) which seems like it would be OK. I just love their werid beady little eyes.
