So I have a Condy Anemone now and I put it where I wanted it. Yah, that lasted about 30 minute. He then moved to inside a cave where I can see him. I see the arms reaching and the pocelin anemone crab still doing good.

Queastion is, will he eventually move outside where there is more light ? Dont they need light ?

    Cheers

will move when it is good and ready. It is probably just adjusting itself to your light setup. It will eventuly show itself more and more and recess back to cave at night. good luck and make sure it is fed it will eat fish.

    DOH !
That wasnt in the fine print...

    I am going off -

The Condy Anemone requires strong light and should never be purchased if a good lighting system is not in place. It will do well in an aquarium with live rock and several crustaceans. Although a Condy requires a reef environment, it is not the best suited for the reef aquarium. The Condy Anemone moves around the tank and has a sting that can inflict grave damage to other anemones and corals. Do not include its natural predators such as the Red-Leg Hermit Crab. Unlike other anemones, the Condy Anemone does not have a relationship with any particular fish, and it is rare for any type of clownfish or damsel to reside within them.

OK, So I glazed over the part in red... It is cool though. The little crab that lives in it is the coolest. He has this fan thingy that collects food..

Hope he comes back out, it is my first... 15 bucks, cant go wrong..

my condy went up against my candy and the candy won. But I have only kept anemones with MH lights and they can be a pain and eat expensive fish.

where did you get that quote from. out of all the anemones i had codies are by far the easiest. i think some of the articles i read that are written over 5 years ago, idea of strong lighting isn't the current idea lol.
