my PT condy circles a rock every few weeks... He still eats and expands very large so I figure he's alright. Did have a tang go missing only to find out he had eaten him although the fish had probably died (was acting very sick after acclimation) the condy spit what was left of him back out a day or two later... From what I hear though they are a pretty hardy anemone.

Thanks for the warning. I'm puzzled because you can see on youtube videos of condy's hosting clown fish. What would cause a condy to be able to decide, "Hey I want to eat that clown fish rather than live with it"

Just fed the condy a ghost shrimp from my freshwater tank, poor shrimp died instantly and the condy consumed the entire shrimp in about 30seconds

Edit: I'm just hoping the condy isn't trapped between the rock and the sand. It looks like he could just detach and lay on the sand if it had a brain, but I'm not so sure they do. That's why I am worried about it getting stuck under the rock between the sand and dying there. Leaving me with a lovely pile of goo to siphon out

It's fine, I promise it isn't stuck. They can shrink to amazingly small sizes. Condy nems don't naturally host fish, so while they may not eat it, they could. I've also read that the sting of the Condy is different enough that the clowns can't *perfectly* acclimate to it.

An anemone "sting" aren't anything compared to bee stings or jellyfish. The palm of your hand is rough and usually never leaves a mark. But on your forearm where the skin is softer, rashes tend to occur which just makes your arm itchy, and usually dissappear in a day or so. I touched my anemone often when feeding and nothing ever happened. Hope this helped :)

I restate, they can and will sting you. Just because you may not see a mark doesn't mean you weren't stung. You can also have an allergic reaction to anemone stings. Different anemones hit harder than others. It's wonderful that you don't mind being stung by your anemone, but the help you provided fails to highlight the fact that they are stinging you even if you're not showing much of a reaction. It would be a shame for someone to think there's no danger and then have a reaction. I haven't had an issue with my zoas, but there are many out there that do have reactions to palytoxin. Let's not ignore the full story.

(no disrespect intended, the OP may not have any issues being stung by the anemone, but let's at least inform them of what's happening)

+1 on the nems usually do not get stuck. my two have been known to actually go through the small tunnels in my liverock and come out the other side...

He's been movin around slowly, not too worried anymore. I did however have to return the biocube skimmer so I'm more worried if I need a skimmer or if water changes will do the trick.

The anemone is in a spot also that shows me not much water flow. Is one powerhead plus the water output enough flow for a 29g or would a 2nd powerhead on the other side of the tank be beneficial?
