Condylactis Help

    Hello I got a Condylactis anemone about two weeks ago. It doing good I think mostly because of the light and the fuge. I guess I should of done more research because I found out that this is not a naturally host for a clownfish. Since I have seen clownfish hosting on toadstool and star polyps I guess there not as picky in a tank. Any suggestions? Also I was wondering if it is possible to keep sand sifting stars with the amenoe? I one I owned bumbled into to it got stung and died. Also do you think that the Condy being mobile is a good judge of light intensity? It is suppose to need bright light and it has parked itself at the bottom of my LR and seem to be happy. I was trying to figure out if it was bright enough for a clam and it was kind of hard to get a good watt per gallon est. with T-5HO PC combo. I thought I would let nature be the judge. Any help?

    I had a condy in a 25" deep tank with a 65w PC for about 9 months and it doubled in size , so I dont think they need intence lighting to do well in a tank, and I guess it just depends on what kind of clam you want , some dont need as much lighting as others. Another thing about that condy beeing a host to your clown , I had 2 clowns in the tank with it for those 9 months and they never went near it, I think about  5% - 10%  of clowns will use a condy , not very good odds.

    you need about 6-8 watts per gal with pcs or t5s for long term. Saty clear of crocea...i would start out with a nice color morph of dersa for durability.

    Forgot to add that with that much wattage they need to be close to the light.

    The T-5HOs are ADLEAST twice as bright per watt as PCs are and I was thinking more about a maxima. I am still looking for clown suggestions though.
