how often should i feed my condy? I have been feeding about a half inch square piece of frozen raw shrimp every 2 weeks. Should i feed it more?

Also, I just upgraded my 10000k stock bulb to a 14000k bulb last week. It seems like my anenomes tentacles werent as "full" and skinnier. So i lowered the light about 4 inches. Seems to be looking a bit better now.

your nem should show you when its hungry, usually they will really blown up and extended, also they will be showing you there mouth..

i used to have a condy and feeding time would vary..my lta i hardly ever feed..and when i do its tiny pieces..

and yeah usually the higher the kelvin the less par, so yeah the nem was prolly stretching for more light until you lowered it..

I recently have started soaking my shrimp in ZooPlex Zooplankton cause my condy was bleahing after returning from military training and it seems to be recovering just fine and quickly. I feed about every 3 days or when his mouth looks like a little mound, i think it was "saints fan" that told me that and it has been working well.

    Great to hear leighton.

All a nem needs is an established tank that keeps stable good water conditions and alot of lighting since most of them are found in shallow areas.

Also just because ur not stuffing food in a nema mouth doesn't mean it's not eating. Anytime u squirt any liquid food for other corals that as well feeds the nem. Rotifeast. Oysterfeast. Chromaplex. Is what i use to feed my corals as well as my nem. But the nem gets shrimp oysters clams and fish whenever it's hungry.

Also try and feed your nem small pieces. With the research i have done most people say it helps them break it down faster

I feed about a few pieces of whatever the size of a pensil eraser

alright i think i will keep up with the raw shrimp about every week and a half. Do your guys condys sit in an area that periodically makes their tentacles wave around all over the place, seems like mine really likes this high flow.

yea its just a 150W phoenix 14000k bulb/ballast for my 40 acrylic. Looks a bit dim tho, hopefully it will brighten after 100 hours, ive slowly been lowering the light closer.
