Confused about sump

since the skimmer fits in the last chamber you might end up haveing micro bubble problems.

 

Could I somehow attach a micro filter sock over the outlet?

 

You could try that or you can cut some acrylic and make a mini baffle. Or even easier cut a thick piece of foam and fit it between the return pump and the skimmer.

If you haven't bought it already you can always build one to fit your exact needs. I built mine to fit perfectly along with everything I need for equipment and a refug. it's not too hard just don't rush it and mind your measurements

 

this site worth a look. i got my refugium/sump from there. Shan, the owner, will answer all your questions, he can even make you a costume made one (mine was costume made, i needed a special size). i got it today and it looks awesome.
