    Hi Guys,

I added live rock to my system on friday - (rock wasfrom an esatblished tank)

My system had been full of saltwater and live what i now believe to be coral sand for the past 5 weeks, with skimmer and filter running.

After adding the rock i took a couple of tests:
    >my nitrites were hi - howerver tested this agian today and there like 0 - 0.05 (taken using 3 part nutra fin test kit)
    >Amonia was hi-ish - however tested again today and again ther like 0-0.1
Nitrates - didn't test fri - tested today and they are practically non existent also?

is this usual or not - i have a shrimp which i added yesterday (big skunk) and a couple of feather dusters and 2 what look like anenoomes, they appear to be fine - as do all the other lil unidentified creatures in there.

    any advise very much appreciated

    thanks

    Matt

    Hello!
Are the levels you are reporting in ppm?! Your system will begin new cycle upon the addition of new LR. This is normal. So, once again you will go through ammonia spike-period, nitrites and nitrates. There is a chance it will be slightly faster! What is the volume of your tank and exact amount of LR added ?!
