Connector piece help

Hey, I was trying to add an e shopps float valve for gravity auto top off. I have an adapter that connects to the line and would connect to a faucet tap (the female portion) but its too small to attach to a 2 liter bottle male portion by a couple milimeters. What adapter can I buy to attach a container to my auto top off?

Also, any good about 5 gallon containers for rodi you guys would recommend?

Okay, I have the same float valve and heres what I did.

I went to the store and bought a 10 gallon rubermaid container and drilled a hole so i could fit this in it, or something like it (link below). Mine in particular is a ball valve type that i can close off. Silicone said valve around the hole you drilled to be sure it wont leak.
