    If it were me;

-Dont say anything about the Lemon Law!

-Take it back and play dumb, " there something wrong but I dont know what" hope you get the same guy.

-Once it hits 4 times, nail their arse! Straight to the top. Owner of the dealer or even directly to the Consumer Relations for the manufacturer.

    -Get something different! : )

PS, Im an ASE certified technician and a Service Supervisor. lol! Good luck with your vehicle, I hope its not a Mitsubishi Outlander Sport, I just bought the wife one!

lol, I am not sure what Curt said to them but I know we no longer have Mr X as our service tech, instead we have Mr Y who is now the service manager as our consultant. I got there and he offered me a free drink, talked to me for several minutes and did everything short of doing sommersalts for me.

With that said, I still do not trust the car. He explained to me what this brake pedal switch does and it kind of made since, except for the fact that it doesnt only happen when I am starting up from a stop, it has happened on the highway. It also doesnt explain why there is a whistle sound from my car that is new. Apparently though I was driving around without any brake lights for a while......which probably didnt help me almost getting hit!

Anyway I did take the car back and SO FAR it seems ok. I still feel a little sluggish on the acceleration but I am not sure. I do know it was fine the last time i picked it up for a couple weeks....so we will see.

THANK YOU ALL FOR THE SUPPORT and INFORMATION!

Yep, thought it was a Nissan. My family is not a big fan of that brand ever since an accident that my uncle had with a n under warranty truck that had both seatbelt fail ejecting both passengers.

Hightech, you are one of the few ase certified service managers. Too bad there are not more like you.

OMG that is horrible! I am so sorry! I actually bought the nissan simply because I believe my Pathfinder saved my life a few years back. I was hit from the rear on the highway going 70mph. The force of the impact broke my rear axel, through me into the concrete diveder and flipped the car. They said the extraction took 30 minutes (i must have been in and out of it) but the only thing that I had was a concussion from when the firemen cut the roof off the car (my head was against the top of the car) and a perferated ear drum from the windshield shattering.

I never thought I would be feal so unsafe in a nissan after that but i definately do!

    Thank Goodness!

Thank You! I was a Technician for 8 Years before moving to management 3 years ago. Plus 2 years High School Vocationial program and 2 years Technical Schooling. Thats how I wish it was everywhere. And I hate to hear women say "they think we are dumb and take advantage of us!" I probably, well no probably, I do take better care of my female customers. They dont think they know it all like men and you can explain how things work vs how they think things work. With men, you cant tell them they are wrong, it demasculiniezes them more often then not and you cant prove your point. Not saying Im right all the time ;D but I can admit when Im wrong.

I have a Mitsubishi and so far "crossing fingers" it will last. Like I mentioned in a previous post I don't have the CVT but a more complex Dual Clutch transmission. I have issues here and there when I shift into second but once it warms up everything is okay.

Hope you don't have a Ni***n Murano. Looks like there are a lot of issues with their CVT.

This dual clutch transmission shifts FAST!! Just another reason to stay away from CVT.

I wasn't mean. I wasn't yelling. I was just very serious in tone and I told them exactly what I expected out of them to keep me calm. We were NOT to be helped by Rich anymore. I was not going to have a different person to speak with every time we call.....I wanted a single point of contact for the life of this vehicle. Even though Ian is no longer in the service department, he is our service rep now.

Sadly, the Murano; 2007-2010 Versa SL, Sentra, Altima and Maxima; 2008-2010 Rogue; 2009-2010 cube all use the same transmission.

This is in a 2010 Nissan Rogue

Batting 1000 with their technology, aren't they? First it's the digital throttle control that sticks, to which they responded with the auto shut-down that kills the engine if you try to brake-check a tail-gating 18-wheeler , and now this. Should've stayed with Datsun.
