Seems like the most viable option to me at the moment but first! I'd like to DIY something to save money.
If all else fails, this will be my option. I don't want to use my newly refurbished DT as a testing ground for my projects though.

Probably my first inclination as well.

I want the water moved from a 50gal mixing barrel to my reef and the reefs waste water automatically transferred to my FO tanks.
I know it may be difficult in the beginning. But after fine tuning?...
I'm looking at maybe a gallon a day for a 125g DT system.

The evaporation is something I hadn't thought of.... Maybe a sealed container with a air check valve for airline tubing. This would allow fresh air to be drawn in when water is removed, but not allow any evaporation out.

    I like the continuous idea.
Drilling a small drain hole was also my fist design idea.
Ideally, I don't need it to automatically drained into my FO systems but it would be cool if I could implement a large pump into my waste SW reservoir to distribute it to the other 10 aquariums.

I'm also worrying about maintaining stable salinity!
Maybe try to hook up an aqua lifter to a RO/DI reservoir and try to sync everything up?

I also fall asleep dreaming about ways to make things less stressful.

    Hmmmmmm, interesting!
Although I was thinking about using an aqua lifter or digital aquatics ATO for RO water?

Sorry for the multiple posts everyone. I've only just downloaded tap talk for iPad so don't quite know how to group quotations!
All great ideas folks, thanks for pitching in. Keep the ideas coming.
