    I've had it with the Coralife timers and need to get something reliable. I am looking at the AquaController Jr with the DC8 add on for about $225.00. Is this a good choice or are there other controllers to consider? The main issue is light timers and the extras that comes with it is a nice bonus.

    I don't have any advice for you, but am in the same position.... just need something to get all the lights easier to control.

    I really, really like the AquaController Apex. It's a bit more money, but also comes with a pH probe, Ethernet connectivity, etc. Worth every dime.

    Otherwise if you don't want to spend that much, the AC Jr. you are looking at is very nice.

    coralife timers are miserable IME.

    I'm all for getting a controller and think it's the best answer

    Having said that, you could just get a couple $8 analog timers from Walgreens for your lights...
