Time for an upgrade on my pumps.. I want something controllable. Will be getting the aquacontroller 3 shortly and I know there is an add on to control tunze.

Now if money wasnt an option I would rock two of the vortech mp40s.. but.. even with the awesome deal through our local club.. spending $800 on pumps.. wow...

Tunze I noticed has come way down in price. Can get a good 1200gph stream or so for around $100 on ebay.

Just looking for recommendations. I dont want to go real cheap.. I have a modded maxi jet now and a seio 1500. And I want something controllable and better than what I have.

I could go tunze and get the add on for my ACIII or open for other suggestions.

Yeah not a massive korelia fan.. they had issues with current leaking in to tanks and things, not that some bad experiences would push me away from a brand. It happens with all of them. Plus my local club is a tunze dealer as well and can get some good deals and I will already have the aquacontroller. Tunze are just kind of bulky is the bad thing. I have a feeling they will work best for what I am looking for price wise. Just dont have any direct experience with tunze.

My mate has two of them in his tank. Pricey! And yes they are a little bulky, but boy they do kick out some flow! And as i would imagine from all Tunze products they will last years. I personally only have experience with Tunze skimmers and they're fantastic! Just a bit boring to look at

I don't know what Tunze you had, but I have a Tunze Turbelle 7200 with controller and it's not cheaply made at all. A very impressive pump and controller. Only downside is it's fairly large.

I have 3 of the 6025s, for some reason they all studder now and then, and to get them going again i have to put my finger in the pump and hit the propeller
