So I have two mp10w's and am planning on getting a radion gen 2. Given that the radion will control my pumps (feed mode, night modes, etc) I really don't need a controller that runs my powerheads OR my lights.

All I need is something that monitors my levels, runs an ATO, and performs the basics. With that said - what would everyone recommend? I know the overwhelming favorite is the Apex, but i think a lot of that is because of it's vortech compatibilty, great dimming control, etc (things i dont need!)

I'm really surprised there aren't more alternatives out there. I'm aware of the Reef Angel, ReefKeepers, etc but nothing other than the Ecotech and Neptune offerings really impress me so far.

I should add - I think the Reef Angel looks very promising, but not quite as refined as I'd like yet.

For that matter, even the Apex interface is a bit dated/clunky looking/feeling.

The APEX has a new updated interface. While not perfect, it is a leap forward from its predecessor.

I run a radion and mp10s, but I only let the light control the light. I manage the mp10s and everything else from my apex.

If you can get past it not being refined, the Reef Angel will be perfect for your application. It can also control the MP-10s, even if you don't need them to.
