Converting 125 Aquarium into filter/fuge?

    I want to make my current 125 DT into filter for new 180 and I want to get the max amount of added water(meaning highest water level possible in 125)can someone give me insight on a hang on skimmer for 300 + gallon tank.

    how would i use that in the 125 if 125 is 3/4 full of water can that unit be that deep in water and still work do you have link to skimmer

    you could prop the skimmer up with pvc/eggcrate to get it at the correct water height.

    Get an octopus skimmer hev, best bang for the buck IMO i love mine! just make an egg crate stand for it so its only about 8 inchs in the water!
