    no I didn't seed with live sand and I'll explain why. (I'm about to get blasted by someone who has no way of proving this point false) Live sand is an expense that isn't necessary at all. Unless you have a dsb, your sand does very little for biological filtration thus no need to add live sand. There has to be flow of some sort through the sand for there to be any kind of biological benefit from it. Live Rock is where your biological filtration comes from. Here are a couple of pics with the sand.
