That is definately it! A nudibranch, who would have though. Too bad it's a coral eater. Now I have to try and find it again. This could be a fun project.

Does anybody want him? He's too cool looking to throw away. About 2 1/2" long.

I would throw it out. if it dies in tank it could nuke it if it is a nudibranch. they are highly toxic.

Yep, it's a nudibranch but, it's not toxic enough to nuke a tank. Again, only the phyllidiids are likely to nuke a tank, and they don't ever have the frilly gills like the dorid nudibranchs or the frilly sides like the dendronotids and tritoniids. It is probably feeding on your soft corals, though, or at least one of them.

    Cheers,

    Don

Got them!! Yes, THEM. Found two of them happily munching on my Colt. Have them sitting in a bucket waiting. They are some of the coolest things I have seen in a salt tank. Wish I could keep em.

Believe it or not, I didn't have to move a single rock. I just looked around the tank for about an hour and finally caught sight of one next to my Colt. Removed the small rock it was on and found the other one tucked in the back side of the same rock.

Will have to keep an eye out for more.

Don't want them in the fuge. There is the chance eggs would make it into the DT.

I have been thinking about a nano for them. Could be fun. I already have a small goby in my fuge that would also make a great addition.
