Here's another nice pic. I got him to start eating Brine shrimp this morning!! He was with one other smaller Redfin in the LFS but he looked like he wasn't eating and was going to die within a few days. So, I chose the healthier of the two (obvious choice for anyone that has a brain lol) I had been looking at the Anthias online for a while, so when I saw this guy in the LFS I had to pick him up because I knew that they were rare to find locally, he was healthy, and with the trade ins (dottyback and blue damsel) he was 50% off! Origionally $50 around here. A little steep for a 2 1/2" fish!! lol. So far, so good though. the clown and Talbot's damsel leave him alone... he is bigger than them... and he doesn't bother the oh so peaceful little Trimma :p I just hope I can keep him eating and alive! I hear these guys can be tricky to keep. I know he is only in a 20gal and I hear they should be in at least 50gal but I had to snag him before he was gone and I never see another Anthia again!! Needless to say, will be upgrading again... just don't know when.

This is a Dispar anthia. As they get to 4", it will be difficult to impossible to sustain this fish long term in a 20g tank.

+1 just realized it was in a 20g. He's definitely going to need a bigger tank.

Yes, I know what he is. Dispar, also known as the Redfin! :p
That's why I said "I will be upgrading, just don't know when". He'll get his bigger tank, don't worry ;)

Yea, I hear horror stories of them being difficult to get to start eating in a new tank, especially mine, since it is only a 20gal. So, when he ate this morning I was jumping off the walls!! lol

Nope. Got rid of that *******!! Lol. Traded him for this guy. The dottyback ended up attacking everyone... Not worth the pretty colors! Lol
