    for some reason he is having trouble catching the shrimp. Its like his mouth is pointed upward, and the shrimp is below it. He almost has to turn his head to get it he is so small. Once he is big enough, I would think just opening his mouth quickly enough would "suck" the shrimp in.

    they are very lazy fish, they just sit there and expect the food to swim into their mouth. I usually stun the shrimp a little by squeezing their head in order to allow the fish to eat

    :cheesy: I have him eating out of my net now. He's getting a little better at "gulping" the shrimp

    Well, not really much to update. He is eating live shrimp very well and is net trained. He likes to hang out on the rocks directly under the HOB filter output. lol. Right now the tank is going through a diatom bloom,... even though this tank and all equipment has been setup before.. Must be the sand or base rock leeching silicates.

    Don't overfeed him, one shrimp every 2-3 days will suffice. They have very slow metabolisms and anything more may give them bloat.
