    they use the lights to attract phytoplankton, small inverts, and newborn fish... they move into shallow water in the phillipines to feed off of the reefs and any new hatchlings that have hatched that night. I would have to make a dark tank for them and since they are a schooling fish i would have to buy at least two... It seems a little expensive for my blood at this time to build a new tank for them and buy multiple fish :(

    I dont see why you cant add them to a reef setup. It says with caution,
    Couldnt be any worse than a dwarf angel thou right? I have a coral beauty and he does just fine in my reef tank. As far as inverts go.... It dosent say. I would hate to loose my cleaner shrimp or cuc because of this guy. But looks like a great fish.

    cool looking fish, but I believe they should be left in the ocean where they belong. jm2c
