I would go with a barred shrimp goby and a snapping shrimp. The fish have a symbiotic relationship with the shrimp that is very neat to watch.

Dwarf Zebta Lionfish are nice but when I had one he rarely moved around and was almost impossible to feed frozen food to.

A friend of mine has had the same pair for close to 10 years now. If the fish are properly cared for they will last you a long time.

I agree about the clowns and an anemone. You could also still do a goby and pistol shrimp combo. I really like the mocha clowns. I also like black and white ocellaris clowns, they have cute little orange faces :)....If you stay in the ocellaris/percula species, they are much more peaceful than the clarkii, tomato, or maroons.
