    Hello Everyone,

Recently, I noticed dead floating copapds in the circulation of my tank and most of them are monsters! I checked my tanks chemistry recently and everything is normal. But i still see a couple large copapods per day floating??? Ive had this setup for over a year now and the LR had is from an older tank i cycled about 3 years ago. I do not have a sump/hang on refugium. Should I be alarmed with the recent die off???

    Thanks Guys!

Are you sure it's die off not the molts? Regardless, I wouldn't worry. I'm guessing they aren't being eaten by your fish because they are hollow.

HAHA if you do recall, I have a VERY picky clown who will barely eat the smorgasbord i lay out for him, let alone the copas! And in regards to the copapods, they seemed to me to be fully intact, legs and all.

    Thanks Mission!

I've seen copepod molts floating around my tank periodically. They are completely intact legs and all.

Maybe your clown doesn't eat the food you offer him because he has an addiction towards coepods.. :)

Probably not, agree with molts personally.

Yah... Idk whats up with this clown. The most finicky fish with the oddest personality! I think hes going to receive a separate post in regards to his behaviors!
