    They are good for any tank, and depending on what you are keeping they are very good (trying to keep Mandarin fish) But you will get 'pods in your if you add any life rock or live sand, it will just take a lot longer to get them established.

    I wouldnt bother adding them, they will come when your tank is ready. Dont get a manderin until at least a year or more.
