copepod culture issue

    I am using a 10g tank that is strictly for the copepods. It isn't even a fuge, since fuges have other critters that may eat the pods. There should be nothing larger than bacteria in the tank other than the pods.

    Glass tanks seem to be the worst option to grow them. Use a dark colored plastic tank, shallow and wide, like a kitty little box. Use minimal aeration and keep their salinity in check every few days. I like to let it drift up for a few days. don't use a light, but do allow for them to be in an area that does receive ambient daylight.

    They'll eat as much as they can. They love copepods. Can't say if they will eat them all, but, they are great hunters and much much much larger then the copepods.

    Thanks. Dude is gone now. He serves no purpose. I just didn't wan't to flush him down the toilet. Of course I have no local fish shops per say. They are all withing 45mins of driving.

    flooded overflows (OF's with a higher water level) have worked for lone shrimp for me in the past :)
