I recently started chaeto in my fuge, it's growing very well, I was wondering if it's copepods I can see as small white specks on glass of DT, looking with magnifying glass, they have oval bodies, two antenae at a smaller head looking portion. They move like bugs, or amphipods, which I have a ton of. I also have some hydroids, even though the tank's going on four years old, the little specks I think are pods look nothing like the hydroids, those are very distinct. Thanks! Ann Marie

I concur with peredhil sounds like pods. When my anemone got chewed up in my powerhead, my tank was exploding with pods a day later.

thanks all! I did find a post here with pics of copepods and mine look exactly like them. I hope to have a mandarin goby by about Christmas time this year, I'll have been working with my tank for over a year by then, although the tank has been established for over three years, it's still only been in my care for 8 months.
