    Hey,
So I decided to start a hang on refugium to both benefit my tank but also to help grow copepods for my fish. I put coral rubble in the first chamber, fiji mud in the second, and then macro algae in the third. I then added a bag of small copepods.
My main question is, in the refrigerator at the LFS, they had many types of copepods but the guy said they were cold water copepods. The ones by the register seemed microscopic (much smaller than the large ones in the fridge). I was curious as to whether I could use the ones in the fridge for the regugium..and whether they would thrive, or just the ones at room temp.

    Just seemed larger and better....

Every time i've added pods they have been of negligible size. They grow big enough to see once they are in your system. Personally i'd go with the unrefrigerated pods but more from the stand point of reducing the need for a lengthy temperature acclimation.
