Well I postponed my weekly water change because after taking a close look at my fish I seen signs of ich on the larger ones. Lets talk about stress catching 2 tangs and an angel was enough to stress me after playing games and tricks for an hour I was faced with a moral dilemma is it worth it to catch them or just let the shrimps clean them up it took me just a few seconds to decide. So I begging the adventure I removed 120 pounds of live rock from my tank so I could catch them and that I did I dipped the angel in hi concentrate of copper for 20 mints and 15 on the tangs. They mediately looked way better almost like the spots fell off right in the copper bowl. a few points to be made wile trying to catch the fish they sustained some injuries so in the future if I need to dip I guess its remove the rock first and interesting thing on of my shrimps was caught in a power head so i reversed the flow and he flew out and was fine. Now I'm thinking about treating the tank with melafix for the rock scrapes on the fish.

Instead of treating the entire tank, what you can do is soak the food in it. I added a few drops to the food before feeding. I used it to cure popeye, but the same principle applies.

I actually just used a dropper from my garlicExtreme. I put a maybe 2 or three drops onto the food and did it for about 5 days. In my case the popeye cleared up within 2-3 days. You can also do it to frozen food.(The amount will depend on how many fish you have, and how much they eat)

yea i have a good chunk of fish

    7 Chroma's
    3 Damsel
    2 Large Tangs 6in+
    1 6 Inch Angel
    2 Clowns

But I did was fill the cap with melafix and grounded up the normal amount of flakes i would feed them and drooped in in the cap let it sit 30 seconds then fed them if seemed to work OK.

I would never take fish out to treat for ich/parasites unless, they were about to die. Meaning they were so covered with the parasite that the fear of it encroaching the gills was imminent. Stress is one of the main contributors.

Yea, what you are doing seems fine. I wouldn't worry about it too much. Good luck

I guess I should have finished my post. The water change may have been more help than removing the fish. Often times ich can be taken care of with good water parameters and a healthy eating fish. Taking the fish out can add to the stress. Which sounded like it was a stressful chore. Treating them by taking em' out and putting them back really didn't do anything. I would let the environment fix the fish. A healthy environment with a strong fish(s) is a better way to fight. And I am by no means implying that your water quality sucks.
