    Hello,
I am new to the forum but someone was concerned about their Copperband Butterfly not eating.
I put one in my 120 gal tank a month ago. The fish hid and did not eat at first. I got some freshwater clams and placed one in the tank on the half shell. The fish loved it, as did all the others. After a day or so of normal feeding, I placed a cut up clam in the tank and the Butterfly ate again.
I am now feeding Brine Shrimp, Mysis, ever one to three days along with normal feeding of flakes an pellets. With no issues.
I have also noticed this fish like seaweed which I feed about three times a week on odd days (M,W,F).
    Hope this helps.
    David

    Welcome to 3reef David. :)

You have done a pretty good job of researching foods. Unfortunately this a hard fish for most reef keepers long term secondary to dietary needs. Wish I could help you more, some members have had them for awhile, but honestly I wish this was a fish no longer offered on the trade. The only thing I can suggest is to try a food like Rod's as it has both marine algae and marine meats.

    Good Luck.
