I got two of them from another reefer who put three in his 1,200gal tank. The bigger one kept harassing the two smaller ones so he called me to take them.
I just picked them up and they're in bad shape.
Dripped them both for about two hours and they're now housed in two separate temporary aquariums.
One is in a tank with lots of aiptasia, Kenya tree, gorgonia, Xenia and Copepods. He's been in there for about half hour and still didn't pick at anything.

The other is in a tank with aiptasia and thousands of baby feather dusters. Neither has eaten anything as yet.
I thought that they would have rushed for the aiptasia as soon as they went in.
Tomorrow I will try to get some clam, mussels or oysters and hopefully they eat that.
Anything else I can do? Or just wait?
    Here is one of them

Moving fish is always stressful, especially for skiddish species such as the Copperband. I'd give them several days to recover and adjust to their new environment. Being accustomed to captive life will be a major help, here. :)

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
    As usual Mr.Bill is correct.

They are a skiddish fish initially and sometimes they do not change.

I don't know of many fish that will eat after only being in a new tank for 30mins. Only reason I put "many" is I'm sure someone would have chimed in with a rare story of a fish eating right away. Give it a few days and see.

I just assumed that they would go crazy for the aiptasia anemones but no luck yet.
I got some mussels and clams today still on the shell but the clams are cooked. Still no luck as yet.
I just put so brine shrimp to hatch and will try again tomorrow.

Oh, how long should I leave the mussels and clams in there before compromising the water quality too much?

I don't worry about fresh seafood too much, as long as you don't put a ton in there. I feed my puffer and rest a raw small neck clam about 2x a week. They will eat the whole thing after a day or so.

First, I'd wait until they show an interest- i.e. picking at rocks, etc- before introducing a lot of extra food. Second, you should only feed finely chopped, raw foods. Lastly, I repeat: give them time to recover and adapt; the more you fuss over them, the longer you'll keep them stressed about the move.

    Great to know. Thanks

One died yesterday. He was fairly weak when I got him. He had gotten pulled into and stuck on a powerhead in the guy's tank.
    Also he told
Me yesterday that his s.g was 1.012 and mine is 1.025. I dropped them for about two hours.
The surviving one is picking at the rocks and sand. I have some brine shrimp hatching.
Hoping for the best thanks for the info.

Just an update, the surviving one is doing well. He's eating small feather dusters. Maybe about 30 per day. I worry that I will soon run out of food for him.
He doesn't seem to want any part of the aiptasia farm I have growing in there.
I have maybe another week of feather dusters. Hopefully he begins to take live brine shrimp or frozen soon. image.jpg image.jpg
