I have been counting the number of new polyps since I got it 2 months ago and I now have three new ones for a total of 8. I have more confidence with stoney corals than zoanthids, pretty darn silly.

Thank you Dasco, I appreciate the kind words. I saw your new pink zonathids and the blue ones really nice. Should make a nice zoanthid garden.

Hey you. A FTS once the newer dry rock gets some coloration.

And darn that grinder, he knows, believe me he knows.;D

Actually I found the ID in the link you gave me, Lunar Eclipse. I have learned a lot more about zoanithd names and types since I looked at that link.

    Again thanks.

Yes partners in crime, fighting the battle against GHA everywhere.

Purple Montipora carpricornis. I have had this piece for about 3 months. The purple blends into the coralline algae to much to really appreciate the colors. If you look closesly you can see the little purple polyps.

Hey Corailline! Beautiful corals as always. What makes you think your pocillopora is going to spawn and why does that make you grumpy? lol. I'm new to the SPS game, so just trying to understand what this means and why it's not a good thing.

    Thanks for the compliment! :)

The pocillopora has been showing a different type of polyp lately and the texture is not the same as well, if that makes any sense.

If they spawn in a small tank and have the oppurtunity to attach to some type of substrate or rockwork they will grow.

It happend to a friend of mines tank and he had to spend some time disposing of the sm. growths so they would not compeat with the other sps. This particular frag is from his colony.
