Thank you grinder. I would love to get one of the a really nice cameras, but I just can not justify the purchase because I like to take pictures of corals.:-/

This acropora gomezi, is one of my favorite pieces. Unfortunately it is the most difficult piece. The conditions it likes do not match the conditions of the other acropora in the tank. Strong flow encourage PE, but because of the tank size I can not provide that without it affecting the other acropora. I hope as it gets older it becomes more stable.

I have never been about to find the exact ID for this coral. I believe it is some type of rhodactis. It only takes food probably 1 out of 10 times. I would like to see it spread.

    The Christmas Millepora

It does not look like a mille to me. Really needs to color up, but for one day of acclimation it is not doing to bad. Reminds me of RP because the the green base coloration.

Those shrooms look alot like mine and were identified as disc anemones. Thats as far as I got.

As for getting your significant other involved I just have my wife 'help' me in the process of buying coral. Make sure they like the way something looks, teach them to feed their coral, and they get excited a little bit. It takes a whole lot of 'I don't cares' then a plethora of do whatever you wants' until you get your first, 'thats kinda cool!'

Good looking coral. I think you are right on the mushroom. I disagree on the Christmas Coral. You can see the beginnings of the long white tentacle on many of the polyps.

Great shots again. Give the Turbinaria time it will take off it looks quite happy. I have those same palys and keep them on the sand by the PVC pipe I use to elevate the coral above the sand. Great little growers they even grow across the sand. Boy I would love to have a few acro crags they are so neat. Congrats on a well balanced system.

I really like the palys. Thanks John.

    Thank you Guy. :)

Well day 5 and starting to see a shift in color from the new bulb. Still on the fence regarding weather I liked the Phoenix better or the Radium better. For now I think I like the color of the Phoenix better and the corals like the Radium better.

It is offical I love Stylophora. The piece was intended for someone else because it is one of the remainning frags from ORA's stylophora, they had it shipped to the LFS and one of the employees did not know and placed in the frag tank. Well I saw it and bought not knowing. They contacted me, and I offered to return it, but they were good sports about it and just want a frag when it grows out. No pressure there.

I never cease to be amazed at how much flow acroporas want. Decided to add a Koralia #2 to the tank, I had an extra. I guess it was a good idea because they corals really showed a good response.

This is why I love sps, the texture. It is not all about the colors for me. I like the look of bushy fuzzy corals, must be a girl thing.

And a parting shot of Bandit.
