Thank you Surgeon, it is a work in constant progress. :)

Exactly what I thought, then I decided not nearly as bad as AEFW ( acropora eating flatworms ) or monti eating nudibranchs.

i know alot of people who dont bother treating for red bugs. Chances of them seriously hurting your SPS are nil especially with how healthy everything is. Poor polyp extension is the first indicator that they affect your colonies. Just a though ;-)

Yes I played with that idea as well. And to add to that some people that treat reported an out break of AEFW post treatment for red bugs. Theory I guess is the red bugs keep the flatworms in check.

Basically I just want to erradicate the population before it gets out of hand or becomes too noticeable. I know they are basically just fleas for acropora, but I just do not like the idea of bugs crawling all over my pieces.

You are doing the right thing on eradicating the fleas, they can overcome and kill off a coral. I have had them and had parts of coral dying off because of them.

Yes I agree, the Langston Seafoam in the one the I noticed them on. It is also the slowest growing coral and now I probably know the reason why. If they are not contrasted against a lighter backround seems like they are almost impossible to see.

Beautiful pictures of the corals :). Sorry to hear about the redbugs but getting them out early is always a good thing. Keep us posted on how the eradication of them goes. I wish you the best of luck with getting rid of them.

PS.....The little acro crab looks very happy.
