I get mine online no LFS here. They supposedly like smooth skin acros.
I had a lokani, the blue haze as mentioned, red planet, tenuis, I have a Miami Orchid they have been on, valida and one that I am unsure of the species.

2in10...didn't know ReVive had any effect on them!! I already have that stuff. If it works it's good to know and if not at least I know the sure treatment is on it's way. Probably won't get a chance to dip until tomorrow night unfortunately. I'll use my small baster and try to blast as many off as I can.

Here's a pic of the frag they're on, this was a few days after I introduced it but it's color is so light they're easily visible.

Hope it's not too much to ask for an I.D. For this acro if anyone can...I'd greatly appreciate it.

I wish I could help but I just haven't studied acropora species enough to ID, specially since some look so alike that the experts need samples to do genetic testing.

Thanks! I intended to Crop the photo and zoom for the frag on the left. Didn't work out on my phone. I need to step up to the plate and get a real camera ;)

I wouldn't use ReVive as a cure for Red Bugs, it'll knock them off the coral but it won't kill them like Interceptor. Also, if you leave the corals in ReVive for too long it stresses them out and they start to shed their tissue. I dip for 3 mins. in ReVive at the recommended concentration. I use ReVive for AEFW and Interceptor for Red Bugs.

Always follow the directions on any treatment and do not go over the limits and you will not have any problems. You need to blow them off with either remedy as the coral will slime with their use. I agree that ReVive does not kill them.

Yes I am pretty sure all treatments besides Interceptor are just bandaids. So far I am just watching and considering the options. If the pistol was not in the tank it would be a slam dunk, use interceptor, which is what I will do when I decide what I want to do regarding the sand bed and the back wall with the gsp.

    Hey Brian,

As long as I go slow and make changes one at a time with regard to treatment, sandbed.......hopefully I will not stress anything too much. Seems like taking a step backwards just when the tank was filling in.

Interceptor can be dosed up to ten times the recommended concentration without harmful effects to corals.
