Catch the shrimp then treat the tank.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !

I am going to have to pull the rockwork to catch the pistol unless I get very lucky. The fact that it is a nano works in my favor, but I am still going to have to disturb the sandbed as well.:-/

Exactly the strength I was going to administer it for my isolated treatments.

Made the decison to treat the tank with interceptor and no other major changes. I am going to attempt to use a lower dose in hopes the shrimp, crab and hermit can weather the treatment. Removing the rockwork and disturbing the sandbed I just can not justify at this time, too many possible bad outcomes for the tank as a hole.

    Christmas colors :)

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and may your tanks look bright and healthy in the new year.

Happy Holidays to you to as well. Hope the treatment goes as thought out. Just a fun fact, while reading up on safe ways to eliminate m.e.n. with as little damage/loss to corals I discovered that Dragonfaced Pipefish will hunt and consume red bugs. Don't know if they are compatible with what you have but it's food for thought.

Interesting Find ReefMonkey!! I'll have to look into that.

Just cleaned my two Acro frags and mille in ReVive mixture for 15min. and blasted all with small baster upon intro and every five minutes after. A lot of them came off my Highlighter acro frag as it had the main infestation and all bugs appeared to be dead in the solution. Temp. of the mixture,as it was in a punch bowl, went from 78 to 72 degrees in that time span. After the dip I placed the frags where they were initially. After 10 minutes or so I saw ployps extend that I never saw but knew were there on my highlighter acro frag! I know it's probably only temporary but I haven't received my interceptor yet and I wanted to do something.

pgreef here on 3reef a while ago purchased one of these pipefish when he had redbugs. His reporting on them feeding red bugs was not what he had hoped. He did not witness the fish eat redbugs. Nor did it help his situation :(
