I wonder if the filefish would eat the bugs......

Well I have been watching the Red bugs for about a little over a week, they have not increased in numbers nor spread to other corals. I do not have enough experience with them to know what is keeping them in check. Not going to matter in a couple days though, when I treat. I honestly believe many people just live with them either not knowing they have them or they did not notice any adverse side effects that lead them to investigate further.

The green millepora I believe is the frag that brought them in. It was a really sorry beat up frag. It is doing much better.

I love this Acropora Hyacinthus and finally it is starting to grow after 2 months in the tank. The coloration adds a lot of contrast.

You know you are a reef nerd when you think a cream colored Stomatella snail is lovely.::) I got black ones but she is kinda pretty.

I call these "seek and destroy polyps" they scare me.

My pig of a cleaner shrimp hunted all mine down and ate them. Saw him do it on several occasions :( Haven't seen one in months. Oh and the tank looks great.

    Edit:
    Stomatella's that is.

    Thank you John ;D

I love them, they just do such a good job keeping down the film algaes on the rock work.

EDIT: Ahhhhh not red bugs :-(

Which cleaner shrimp is it. I might be willing to give it a try. I know any invert is hit and miss. Good to hear you do not see the red bugs any longer and thank you for the kind words.

Hi Corailline, sorry to hear about the red bugs. You mean you didn't QT your new corals? Don't mean to pick on you, but if I remember correctly not too long ago a few members tried to chew my head off during a QT discussing thread here where I didn't agree that QTing everything was realistic for most of us. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get rid of them and your tank will be fine.

You have a beautiful tank, somehow I've previously missed this thread.

Your humor is either too dry or you missed the mark. But I will go back and review this thread to see what I stated regarding QT all corals. Perhaps you could provide the link?

Edit: Found, I guess what you are referring to, is the thread regarding QT. Still can not find the part where I advocated QTing all corals.
