My Zoas seem slow to grow as well...I think we get spoiled by the Duncans ;) ! You can almost watch them grow !

Your red Monti has some great PE !...but so does everything else in your tank :). IME they seem to grow in spurts. And usually from more than one area at a time-encrusting as well as branching.

Good luck with the next Frags!

holy cow, your pics are beautiful!

You might have said this in the earlier post, but what type of skimmer do you use? The 28g I got did not come with a skimmer and I cant find one that fits the back compartment? I tried putting my Aquatic life inside the tank but didnt like that because the lid did not close all the way down, I bought another skimmer that my store had labeled for a 28g nano however it did not fit in the back compartments at all. The only other skimmer my LFS sells is for the biocube (which is a piece of junk) I am going to go online and look but I definately want one that fits in the back canisters

    Thanks Nismo. :)

Hey schackmel. :) Thanks for the compliment.

No skimmer. I did have a Tunze 9002, loved it, great skimmer IMO. This tank is a bear to find a decent skimmer for that fits in the back sump compartments. No room and there is always a little modifications that have to go into it. When I had a skimmer it was in a HOB CPR fuge. Had an outbreak of dino, wanted to take a break, sold everything but the chiller and tank (everyone wanted it for free), so I set the tank back up with no skimmer, no fuge just the basics. And that is my story and I am sticking to it. ;D

I just love your 28 JBJ!

I was browsing another site and I read a post about how people just hate it and blahblahblah. They really ranted.

But you really turned yours into a piece of art :D.

There are some design flaws for sure. Lighting distance, difficulty modifying the tank for bigger sumps, skimmers. I would not recommend this tank for a sps dominated tank, but it sure makes a wonderful softie tank.

Thanks RG that is a nice thing to say. :)

    Thank you fellow reefers. :)

The coral collection was started by some really small frags, and a lot were on the downside but hey they were cheap and in some cases free. The hard part is waiting for them go grow out, the reward is getting to frag them once they do.

Hi Cheryl. Your tank looks great and I hope the fragging goes well today.

I, however, like starting with frags. It feels more like you created it instead of buying it. :) That's how I feel.
