    Hey nightster,

Yeap that is the coral the Valida.

This is what the ugly little acro looked like when I got it, green and purple. Now cream and blue.

    lol Nismo,

I was at the LFS, and wanted a specific coral and the guy said no, but here I will throw in this. I got home and I was ewww, what is it. It actually broke into 2 pieces so I have another piece growing as well.

    :)

Thank you Vinny, but your fibbing. :)

I know I posted this before regarding the effect lighting has on the Red Planet but you can really see the difference in the frags under much less lighting and the colony directly under the light. The frags farthest back are the greenest. Also the gluing of frags horizontally, they do seem to encrust much faster as you can tell compared to the one glued vertically. The horizontal one is almost a month younger. Going to be interesting to see when it will branch up.

Just silly (most likely worthless) observations.

Awesome frags and they ALL actually have GREAT coloration ;)
I am guessing the one glued horizontally is encrusting around the plug faster because it takes the coral less time to "get" there/grow there (it is closer to the plug if you know what I mean...LOL)

Yes I think that plays a part, more surface area exposed to the plug and more surface area exposed to the lighting hopefully providing more nutrition. Gluing them that way does not initially make the most attractive frag but hopefully a faster growing colony.
