It is a dry heat, yeah right !

The first image is a Tortuosa, common a Neon Green Tort. I think they have cool polyps. I will put a more recent FTS. Maybe I can get decent one now.

    Thanks John. :)

Oooo kind of exciting, I am liking it. I will give that a try. What about when you shoot at night, and flash?

Thanks for the assist really appreciate it.

No trouble, Cheryl. No flash at night. Use an LED flashlight, or moonlights and the same technique of holding the camera against the tank. Sidelight works a little better than straight on. You will have to be a little more steady, but with a little practice you will get some awesome nighttime shots. ;D

Ok barbianj, or anyone else for that matter. How do these look, I adjusted the exposure and followed the advice about macro, and iso. They seem somewhat dark but the color is better. No saturation was used or contrast.

Much, much, better! #1 would be awesome if it were more in focus. Experiment a little. The exposure setting will depend on how bright the subject is. If you think your picture looks a little too dark, move the exposure setting up a click.

How close do they look compared to real life?

Thanks John for the positive feed back.

Oh good bargianj. They look very close to the actual color. The only feature I am using is sharpen. I may lighten up the exposure just a tad and play with it further, but overall I am really happy with the adjustments.

Again thanks so much for the tips.

    Hey Sacul1573, thanks.

The suggestions on the photography were.

    1. Reduce ISO setting, mine is at 80.
    2. Turn off auto macro setting.
    3. Reduce Exposure.
    4. Camera up against side of tank.
    5. Use what ever you can to steady the camera.
    6. No flash.

Those tips really helped me, I hope they help you as well.

A tripod is necessary in some cases, but if you can get a shot with the camera lens against the glass, you avoid most of the glare. ;)
