I purchased some frogspawn and elegance coral on the weekend. I have the elegance at the bottom of my tank and frogspawn in between two rocks midway up my tank. Is this the best placemend for these corals??
If not how close can i place them without damage to each other.

Can't comment on the elegance but my frogspawn like enough flow to sway around but not be blown to much, you will know by how far it opens up. Mine is about half way up in my 55g with a 4bulb T5HO fixture. One of my favorites too by the way.

It really hard to say, a lot depends on your power head placement and the flow in the area. The frogspawn should be fine, elegance corals, depending on where they are from, may not be very hardy. Just some FYI

The frogspawn should be fine just about anywhere as long as it is getting flow. The elegance on the other hand may be a lost cause... they demand perfect water chemistry and intense filtration (hint the perfect water chemistry part). A fuge with a sump is probably a must. Heck, Otty says he can tell when he needs to change his carbon by how his elegance is acting. I would be more worried about keeping all parameters perfect a lot more then where I positioned the coral...
