    First, what type of coral is shown in this picture?

    Second, what is the creature seen among the coral in the center of the picture? It looks like a feather duster but it just doesn't seem like one to me when I look at it up close and in person. I'm probably wrong though.

    Goniopora spp (see how there are 24 tentacles per polyp? If it was an Alveopora, there would only be 12).

    Harmless barnacle most likely. Does it move?

    yep feather duster, I have a few of this type in my tank as well.

    Well it moves in the sense that that it retracts when touched. It hasn't relocated, as far as I have observed.
