Let's see, I had a 3 chromis, an algae blenny (still do), and an ocellaris, but I doubt the ocellaris did it; the cBS would actually try to kill it once!

I was super close from making a bad joke. I can see the shrimp getting torn into pieces by a wrasse or trigger if you had any. What fish did you have at that moment? Sorry if you already posted it, I must have missed if you did.

I wouldn't underestimate that clown. What size was it? Even my small male has been known to beat up my angel if they get into a tiff. Angel no longer messes with it.

Oh... I doubt the CB was the killer. Chromises on the other hand are very mean. They're also known for picking on the shrimps and kill them, piece by piece. They start with the legs and when it cannot move anymore (because of mutilated legs) they continue with the antennas, tail, eyes, etc until it's all looking nice and shredded.
I bet your paycheck that was the case, and 3 of them will definitely do the job... mob mentality.

I have no experience with chromis, but Magnus knows his stuff. +1 to his vote.

If it had just molted it wouldn't be much trouble for any of those fish. Although the algae blenny wouldn't try to hurt it. Mine molted a week ago after I had just moved into the 92G. I found the exoskeleton and could have swore the shrimp was dead. I've had plenty of shrimps and crabs before but the shedded body looks so real to me still ;D It even had the purple color on the body. Anyway I threw it away and sure enough 3 nights later the shrimp was in there at the back ;D If its been weeks I think your guy just got unlucky and didn't find a good enough hiding spot.
