hi, i have a salty fluval edge with a clownfish in it and an assortment of CUC and i REALLY wanted to add a coral banded but was told their agressive and will attack the clownfish?

.....can anyone give me their opinion?

i was under the understanding they were pretty docile/fish friendly

mine is a pest.. If he is not fed a few times a week he goes after fish.. He went after my royal gramma, and the fish wanted nothing of it so he bit its claw off.. Pretty awesome, but yeah, to answer they are a pain.. Get a cleaner shrimp

Get a harlequin if you want an exotic shrimp.

Mine chased a 4" Naso all over the tank. Must have been one tasty fish.

my coral banded shrimp stayed to himself in my tank. He never tried to go after a fish. i feed my fish a lot everyday so he never gets too hungry to the point where he wants to but i had 3 clownfish and a royal gramma and the coral banded shrimp never touched them so... if your set on them, id get the fish first then the shrimp. and feed a lot

I have a love/hate relationship with my CBS. He's an real jerk. But at the same time he's kind of funny. Every time my hands go in the tank he goes into attack mode. I let him pinch me a few times just to make himself feel better then flick him away. I have seen one scratch on my scissortail that I'm confident was from him, but other than that he hasn't touched any fish including my small clown. I've thought about getting rid of him, but he was the first living thing in my tank other than snails so I'd feel kind of bad. If you just baste them with brine shrimp a couple times a week they'll stay happy.
