Coral Banded -VS- Emerald Crab

    Have you ever watched a fight where one of the people didn't know they were involved in a conflict?

    That's kind of what's going on in my tank right now. Lights are off, but I'm just checking things out with my flashlight seeing who is doing what at this hour.

    Watching the CBS walk all over the place checking things out, it comes up on the Emerald sitting there picking crud out from behind a mushroom that's rolled up for the night.

    The CBS is doing the classic boxer pose behind the Emerald and every now and again uses it's feeler to poke at the Emerald over it's back until the Emerald gets irritated enough to wave its claws in the air.

    It's a great back and forth to watch the CBS obviously has much more to prove in this than the Emerald. Guess the Emerald subscribes to the "turn the other cheek" philosophy.

    Next time I see the battle royale going on I'll try to snap a photo it was great to watch. I enjoy night viewing of the tank. Watching the caves the fish sleep in and how the inverts and snails behave.

    the six line crams itself into the tiniest hole and sleeps between the two biggest rocks in the tank.

    LOL Stepho.

    We had a good one tonight. The 6-spot goby (AH) has dug burrows under almost every rock in the tank, so the orange spot goby (Spot) decided to commandeer one of them since there was no place for him left LOL. He's been sleeping there for a week. Tonight, the AH was covering up the back entrance of that hole so he could bed down, and Spot came through the rock & saw him. Open mouth threats ensued, and Spot won. Then my boyfriend decided to clean the glass right by that burrow & scared Spot off, so AH immediately went back over, finished filling up the back, and climbed in. Poor Spot!
