I have a question about the Coral Beauty that I bought yesterday. I brought it home and acclimated it for about an hr. When I put it in the tank it went back into the rocks and hasnt came out since. I can see it swimming around back in the rocks with a flash light but it will not come out. I have not had a fish act like this before and was wondering if this normal for the coral beauty or has anyone had this happen before with this species or any other type?

Mine did the same for a day or two. She stayed pretty sheltered. She's out & about now. I feed pellets & dried seaweed

Don´t worry, that behaviour is absolutely normal when a fish is introduced into a different environment. Sometimes it took a week for my fish to come out hiding.
So, patience and just make sure you feed the right stuff.
    Best of luck to you!

My CB did that for the first couple days, then would start to come out slowly, but swim right back into the rocks if I approached. It took her a while before she would be fully comfortable.

Yes, as others said, dwarf angels can be quite shy when new to a tank. Good luck with your new fishy!! :)

Thanks everyone....I see it back in the rocks but it has yet to venture out. Maybe when I feed this evening it will ease out so i can get a look and maybe a pic. it looked real healthy and fat when I bought it so hopefully there isnt anything wrong with it.
