Will a coral beauty eat coraline algae? I'm not worried about it depleting the attractive algae, I just want to the fish has an adequate food supply. I got one yesterday, and it is eating formula 2 and mysis shrimp, but i've read that it benefits from having live algae, and the only algae growing in my display tank is coraline. Right now he's snacking on the diatom in my isolation tank.

I feed my coral beauty a frozen food that has brine, mysis, krill, seaweed and the kitchen sink. I also put a strip of green and purple algae for the damsels, tang and beauty to munch on. That takes care of everyone's diet. Every once in a while I will do just frozen brine shrimp. Not much nutritional value, but they eat it like candy. Yum yum. Yeah, just suppliment with some seaweed and things will be OK.
