    Hi Guys,

This is my second post re this coral beauty... got this fish some months ago she is a real beauty..but honestly her temper is beyond my expectations.

some weeks ago i introduced a rock beauty and as expected i had a war in the aquarium...i removed the coral beauty for a week changed rock work then re introduced her back but still fights - result (to cut a longer story short) = rock beauty died..

Since then i didn't introduce any other fish...she is ok with my yellow wrasse, 2 common clowns, orange spotted goby, blue tang, but i need to add some new fish as the 4.5ft aquarium is pretty empty.. I've learnt my lesson so defenitly no more angles so yesterday the LFS had a beautiful Exquiste Wrasse.. which i bought and introduced..without knowing that my beauty would do it again.... the wrasse hid for the rest of the day so all was ok..as soon as lights went on this morning she came out..beautiful wrasse... however my beauty did it again..she chased and scared the wrase to bits..now wrasse hid again and i cannot see..what do you guys suggest? is this behaviour normal? i thought that angles might fight other angles not all breeds

shall i leave them to calm down? or it wont work out?

so confused as i wish to keep them both..also issue is to catch the beauty it means to put down all the rock work and stress to all the other fish ...

It may take a few days for the CB to settle down.

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
You can try tapping a small mirror to the side of the tank to distract the Angel while the Wrasse acclimates.

You can also put the Angel in a breeder box on the side while the Wrasse has a few days to acclimate.

Some Angels are nightmares and have to be removed for a few days at least.

I have always seen it suggested that dwarf angels should be the last fish added for this very reason. Meanwhile fairy or flasher wrasses should be one of the first due to how shy they are when they are first put in the tank. I guess this is more for future viewers :)

    Good luck!

My Exquiste Wrasse his for the first day or so was bullied by yellow tang for a day or so but I also added 3 blue green chromis and a firefish during that shipment into my 125. I think they helped distract the tang enough. Now the wrasse is king along w the tang. It's a beautiful fish Im looking for a female now.

    hi

first thanks to all for your great suggestions...at the moment I am trying to distract the angle as much as possible , have added a mirror to the side of the aquarium and so far the angle seems quite distracted, however the wrasse is too shy now to come out..hope well..

    cheers
