I don't have much experience w/ coral beauty, but w/ all fish...he might be stressed out from everything. You can also try soaking the food in garlic, that seem to boost their appetite and their immune system. You can feed him some meaty food also.

Spirulina brine shrimp, you can get it frozen at any fish store. It comes in cubes...green in my experience.

I agree with gkw .... the fish is most probably stressed out. It needs a chance to settle in, so patience is key. Make sure the fish has a place where it can go and hide and make sure the tank is regularly fed. It will take a little while for it to come out and eat like the rest of the crowd.

As far as the type of food, my coral beauty loves mysis shrimp. When at first so shy it's come to the point where she now comes up and eats from my fingers while I'm holding the cube. She's also doing quite a nice job grazing on the live rock as well as the sides of the tank.

Give it a little while, she'll be fine.

Spiralina is a plankton that is very high in vitamins. So much so you can get it at high end health food stores for human consumption. you can get speralina flake food for your fish.

    Yeah, what Jason said. :)
They have a huge farm somewhere in Cali growing these. I thought it was good algae only for fishes at first, then some guy give me an sample and ask me to try it. I looked at the sample like a fool...:-[

You need to offer your Coral Beauty a variety of food stuff. I would start off by offering it some kind of frozen food ie. Mysis, or Brine shrimp or reef formula or a formula food. You can try to entice it to eat by adding garlic and vitamin c to the food as well. Did you ask what food the fish was eating at the place you got it from? That may help you as to start with the same food the pet shop or online site ws feeding the Coral Beauty Angel. The other thing possibly, even more important, is how long have you had the angel? It may be that it is stressed and trying to get acclimated to the new surrondings and tank mates. How long have you had your tank set up? Do you have live rock for your angel to pick off of and offer it a place to hide? These are some questions to address to help you with the feeding of your angel. It should be fine as many fish that I have purchased in the past took awhile to get use to the new environment before they would eat... Hope this helps! Good luck!!!!!!!!!!
